For almost 20 years, the German Embassy here in Beijing has been
devoted to bringing German tradition and Christmas spirit to the community
through their annual Charity Christmas Bazaar. This year’s Bazaar took
place last weekend at the German Embassy, and Little Flower was one of the five
charities supported by the proceeds.
It's a hugely popular event, and the line started forming early.
Once the doors were open, families poured in!
There was food...
Crafts and Christmas decorations...
And carols.
Sarah and Mirjam from the Little Flower Development Team were both able
to set up a table within the bazaar to introduce people to our projects.
We also sold some lovely Christmas ornaments and a special Christmas
cards made by our Group Educational Foster Care kids.
Everyone had a great time picking out Christmas decorations, eating
gingerbread, and drinking warm German spiced wine. Packed full with people, the
whole Embassy area radiated a festive Christmas spirit and the joy of giving. A
huge thank you to the bazaar's organizers!
